Christmas Ornament Class - 2015

Hi Everyone!

Last night I taught a class on how to make these super fun fabric origami Christmas ornaments. They are really popular, a bit time consuming - but totally beautiful!

Here's some photos of what my students made last night!

I don't have a video tutorial of my own out (yet!) but there are probably quite a few floating around YouTube if you're interested in making one! (used 4" balls and 3" squares of fabric)

If you have any questions please feel free to send me an E-mail at quilters.workshop@gmail.com

Are you making any Christmas ornaments this year? I'd love to see photos of what you are all working on!

Happy Crafting!
Love, Tiffany

What I've been up to?

Hi Everyone!

Above is my new cover photo on my Quilter's Workshop page on Facebook! If you do not follow me already on Facebook, please do! Search "Quilter's Workshop" to stay up to date on events, exciting news, what I'm working on, etc!

Lately I've been really excited about folded star pot-holders. These look awesome in a variety of colour combinations and would make super cute gifts! (Never too soon to prep for Christmas, right?!)

I might just have to do a YouTube tutorial/review on the pattern!

This past week, I also created this little masterpiece! (If you've been following my blog for a while, you will know that I thoroughly enjoy cake decorating!) I made this tear-away cake (cupcakes iced together as a slab cake) for a colleague at my work! He enjoyed it, so I thought I would share the photo with you, as inspiration for anyone interested in making a tear-away cake.

Happy Crafting!

Fabric Origami Christmas Ornament

This was the very first time I have ever made a fabric origami Christmas ornament, but it turned out really well and I'm sure to make more of these...as soon as I have some spare time off school!

I used 2 Christmas prints and the red coordinating solid, as well as a wide gold ribbon for the middle, with gold rick-rack centered on top of the ribbon, and then I used a slim red and gold ribbon to tie a bow and make the hanging loop.

As time consuming as this was to make, as soon as I make more I will post more pictures and hopefully will have a video tutorial of this done soon!
