Lakeshore Quilter's Guild - Port Hope Ontario

I recently presented my trunk show to the Lakeshore Quilter's Guild in Port Hope Ontario, this past Tuesday June 25th 2013.

My next upcoming event will be a craft show held on Thursday August 1st 2013 in Picton Ontario at the fair grounds.

Quilt Block Cookies

I recently made these cookies, inspired by the number of guilds who have recently invited me to do trunk shows for them this coming year.

My final trunk show for this season is Tuesday June 25th 2013 in Port Hope ON.

Father's Day 2013

I hope everyone had a great day today, spending it with your families!

Last night I attempted to make cake pops for the first time...I had fun making them, but they probably could have been made better. Let's just say as a cake decorator, it was not my finest hour! LOL

If you look closely, you can see they spell out 'Happy Fathers Day'...

 Dad enjoyed them and they tasted good, so that's all that matters!

Since the cake pops only used about half a box of cake mix, I found this neat recipe on Pinterest to make cake batter fudge, and it tastes amazing!

As for what I made my Daddy for Father's Day, I embroidered this towel for him. For those who don't know me well, my guinea pig's name is Pig. And I am obsessed with all things "pigs", so we (Pig and I) decided to embroider a pig on the towel. haha
I also made a chenille rug, and will post the photo after I have washed it.

Batik Belt

I recently created this fun belt using scraps of batik materials leftover from a quilt I made previously.

The pattern is inspired by one I saw in an issue of Quilter's Connection magazine, however I did not use or follow the instructions.
