Hi Everyone,
A quick little post to talk about craft show season!
My craft show season is soon coming to an end! I have participated in one craft show each month since June! I don't know where the time has gone but I only have ONE more craft show before I'm finished for 2016. (The entire year has blown by!)
I absolutely LOVE craft shows. I love every aspect of it. I love meeting new and returning customers. I love seeing someone light up when they purchase one of my items to be given as a gift. I love meeting loads of shoppers who appreciate the "handmade" aspect. I love getting to know other craft show vendors and being immersed in a venue that is just EXPLODING with inspiration, support and creativity. And I also love shopping at craft shows and finding that perfect, unique, one of a kind, handmade gift!
My upcoming and final craft show of 2016 is the West Rouge Holiday Artisan Sale, held on Saturday November 12th 2016. It is quickly approaching and I have yet to finish sewing for it. (Here's a little secret though, I never truly finish preparing for craft shows - it is constant preparation!)
If you are interested in selling some of your handmade crafts at local craft shows, I put together a video with some tips! You can check out the YouTube video here.
Happy Craft Show-ing !

It's been a while...
Hi Everyone!
I realized that it has been a very long time since I have posted anything on my blog! Where on earth has the time gone?
I have a couple of videos to share with you,if you are not subscribed to my YouTube channel, please feel free to do so!
So what's new....
I had a pattern that was featured in the Winter 2016 issue of Quilter's Connection magazine,of a patchwork sleeping bag pattern! I made a YouTube video HERE where you can see a close up of the sample and also find out more information on where to purchase Quilter's Connection magazines.
I was given the opportunity to read a digital copy of the children's book Maya's Blanket.
I did a YouTube video review of the book, which you can view HERE
It was a really great book and I feel like it would make a great addition to any Easter baskets that you may be putting together this spring!
I promise that I will have an Easter themed tutorial video out very soon, so don't forget to hit subscribe on my YouTube channel so you never miss a video!
What spring projects are you working on? I'd love to see them!
Feel free to send me an E-mail at quilters.workshop@gmail.com or follow me on Instagram by searching quilters.workshop

Welcome to 2016!
Happy New Year, everyone! Welcome to 2016!
To start off 2016, I wanted to share a video to advertise my small store! For those of you who don't know, I have been operating this business since 2009. I teach 3-4 group sewing classes a week, travel to quilting guilds and give presentations, sell my items in craft shows and operate a small gift store in downtown Whitby, ON.
All of the products that I sell are handmade by local crafters who I have met through various craft show events.
On top of all things "small business" I also work full time, so I don't often have opportunities to share all aspects of my life with you!
If you are interested in having a sneak-peak to my store and the variety of products made by some talented people, please check out this video
One of the things I would like to accomplish this year, is to be more consistent with the posting of my YouTube videos. So please stay tuned for a Valentine's themed video & many more to come in 2016. As well, don't forget to check out the Winter issue of Quilter's Connection magazine to find my pattern for a patchwork sleeping bag!
In the meantime, please feel free to check out my previous tutorials & product reviews!
You can visit my YouTube Channel, HERE
You can "Like" my Facebook page, HERE

Kingsway Craft Show & December 2015
Hi Everyone,
Just realized its been a little while since I last updated the blog!
Back on November 29th we were at the Kingsway College Christmas Craft Show. We had a great day seeing familiar faces of both fellow vendors and customers!
Here are a few photos of our booth!
Kingsway was the last craft show of the season that I am participating in.
For the remainder of December, the focus will be completing our pillowcase donations for The Denise House, and of course making sure all my students complete their projects in time for Christmas.
Pillowcase charity classes will be held on December 9th and 16th, from 6:30-8:30pm
Drop-in sessions will be held on December 11th and 18th from 4-7pm.
(cost of the classes are $5 each) Drop in classes are for any current students who need some additional time outside of their usual Saturday classes to complete projects that are going to be given away as Christmas gifts.
A reminder for all sewing students that our regular Saturday sessions will end on December 19th.

Christmas Ornament Class - 2015
Hi Everyone!
Last night I taught a class on how to make these super fun fabric origami Christmas ornaments. They are really popular, a bit time consuming - but totally beautiful!
Here's some photos of what my students made last night!
I don't have a video tutorial of my own out (yet!) but there are probably quite a few floating around YouTube if you're interested in making one! (used 4" balls and 3" squares of fabric)
If you have any questions please feel free to send me an E-mail at quilters.workshop@gmail.com
Are you making any Christmas ornaments this year? I'd love to see photos of what you are all working on!
Happy Crafting!
Love, Tiffany

Kingsway College Christmas Craft Show 2015
Hi Everyone!
If you read my last blog post, you will know that I am having a very hectic week. Well, its about to get a little more crazy!
I've accepted a last minute offer to have a booth at the Christmas craft show held at Kingsway College. The show will be held on Sunday November 29th from 10am-5pm (not 4:30pm as stated on the posters)
I'm very excited for the opportunity as I have never participated as a vendor at this show!
I will be a busy bee over the next few weeks, teaching my classes and getting through the next two craft shows!

Custom Order and Website Launch!
Hi Everyone,
This is a very busy week for me!
I'm prepping for my next (and last) craft show of the season! On Saturday November 14th I will be at the West Rouge community centre in Scarborough.
As well, I have a lovely group of volunteers who has been helping out over the past couple of months, getting ready for our holiday donation. We've been making pillowcases that will be donated to the Denise House, and small blankets that will be donated to a local shelter that helps abused, neglected and senior cats. We've made great progress so far and I will be posting photos soon!
And finally, today I will be advertising a "soft launch" of my new website! My website currently features photos of my students' work, as well as items available for purchase in-store by my consigners! The "cart" feature is not fully complete so stay tuned for photos of individual products & their prices! You can check out my website HERE
This week I also completed a custom order, for two memory pillows. I absolutely love the idea of these, as keepsakes not only after the passing of a loved one, but even for someone who is moving away, etc. (The shirt can be unbuttoned to remove the pillow form, to wash the outside covering if needed)
What have you been working on lately?
Happy Quilting,
Love, Tiffany

Frixion Colours - Product Review
Hi Everyone,
I recently filmed a YouTube review on the Frixion Colours marking pens. They come in a wide variety of colours and are very affordable! (They're currently for sale for $2.49 each)
Say good-bye to your chalk rollers and tailor pencils, this will be the only marking tool you'll ever need.
If you would like to see how they work, click HERE

Excited for Fall & New Beginnings!
Hi Everyone!
I am pleased to announce that on Saturday September 5th 2015, I will be hosting my fall open house, from 10AM-2PM.
As usual, this day will provide students with an opportunity to register for fall classes, choose projects, etc.
(Fall classes will officially begin on Saturday September 12th 2015)
However, I am super excited to share with all of you, that beginning on September 5th, you will be able to shop at Quilter's Workshop, and find a variety of products handmade by local artists who I know personally from my past participation in craft show events.
I have dreamed and wished for a long time, that I will one day have a store-front. This opportunity is the first step of many that I plan to take, to someday develop my business to be able to support myself entirely. I have been working very hard to develop my business over the past six and a half years and am absolutely thrilled to be able to display the works of local crafters and continue to teach my classes.
I am a firm believer in supporting small businesses and shopping local. Leading up to the holidays, Quilter's Workshop will be the perfect location to pick up a variety of gift items, each unique and made with love.
Below is a small ad that I have been sharing with my clients and current students, regarding all the information for the grand opening day.
Over the next couple of weeks I will be posting updates and photos of products that will be available at Quilter's Workshop. Stay tuned!
I hope that everyone enjoys the remainder of summer and I am so excited to re-launch my business for all of you this fall.
Love, Tiffany

Getting Ready...
Hello Everyone!
Firstly, I want to share with you an adorable little bunny who will make your Monday much more bearable!
He has been visiting my yard almost everyday! I love when I catch a glimpse out the window and see him nibbling on the weeds!
Second, I have been very busy (as always!) Prepping for upcoming fall craft shows, finishing up the last two weeks of my summer sewing classes, getting ready for my big move, etc.
How adorable is this little pillow that I was working on recently?
Soon you'll be able to purchase pillows like this, as well as many more items...at a location that is TBA! Keep checking back for more info!

Embellishing Towels (Without Embroidery!)
Hi Everyone!
In the past, I made a YouTube video tutorial, explaining how to use your embroidery machine to embellish hand towels.
However, it has come to my attention that you can embellish towels (just as nicely!) without an embroidery machine! Using up some scraps, or some of your favourite fabrics.
These can be made in a matter of minutes, hopefully using supplies that you may already have lying around. And wouldn't they make perfect little gifts/stocking stuffers! (It's never too soon to be talking about Christmas!)
If you would like to watch my video tutorial, feel free to click on the link below:

I would just like to note that I did not design the pattern. I simply came across it on Pinterest. I did utilize the pattern templates, however I didn't bother reading the directions, as I find that I prefer to do things my own method.
I'm so in love with how cute it turned out, that I wanted to share it with you, to inspire everyone to start thinking of fall projects!

120 Cupcakes
Hello Everyone!
Happy Monday!
Over the weekend I was working on a cupcake order for a retirement party. The order was for 120 cupcakes, and I thought that the design I did was quite versatile and would be cute for bridal showers, baby showers, or even summer birthday parties! So I filmed a little video while I was working.
If you'd like to check out my mini-tutorial, you can click the link below!

DIY Sleep Mask
Hi Everyone!
I'm back today with another video tutorial!
Sleep masks make super cute crafts, to teach yourself or a child to sew! They can be used for summer camp (have the kids decorate them if you make them), Birthday party goody-bags, stocking stuffers at Christmas, etc. So many possibilities, and they can be made using a minimal amount of items that you may already have!
If you would like to watch my YouTube video on how to make a sleep mask, click the link below!
